What file formats are acceptable for print?

We accept the following file formats: .tif , .jpg , .eps , . ai , .pdf, or .psd files.

We do not accept: Microsoft Word, Pagemaker, Powerpoint, Paint, Corel Draw or any similar software.

What Resolution should my print ready files be submitted at?
All files submitted for print must have a resolution of 300dpi with embedded or outlined fonts in order to be "Print Ready".

Can I resize my 72dpi artwork to 300dpi?
Unfortunately, You can not increase the resolution for a design that has been created at low resolution. This will result in images and text to print blurry or grainy and at times to be totally unreadable.

What is bleed? And how do I include this in my print files?
A bleed is an extra area outside of your file that is trimmed to insure proper cuts. Please keep all important images and text 1/4 inch from all sides to allow room from cutting. Background images and color should extend to the desired size of the flyer.

We require bleeds for all print jobs. No Exceptions. If bleed is not included in your final print files then you run the risk of your job being miscut. We are not responsible for any cutting errors if a job is submitted with out bleed.

Do you guarantee Color?
If your job is color critical, YOU MUST REQUEST A COLOR PROOF at the time your order is placed. If a color proof is not ordered we are not responsible for any color variations between your computer monitor to any your flyer. If your wanting to achieve perfect color it can only be done with a color proof.

Gang run printing is the process we use to create your prints at substantially discounted prices. One of the downfalls of Gang run printing is that we give up the control of an individual piece's color to compensate for the entire run. This does not mean that your colors will be drastically different but means that your colors can vary slightly leaving the final piece 95% - 100% accurate.

48HOURFLYERS.COM accepts no responsibility for color variations between your submitted print files and the final printed piece.

What is the difference between UV and Non UV?
UV and Non UV are the abbreviations for the different methods of finish we offer. Here are some of the differences between the two applications.

UV- (Ultraviolet Coating) is a clear liquid coat spread over the paper like ink then cured instantly with ultraviolet light. UV Coating gives more protection
and shine than either varnish or aqueous coating. This coating is the "Laminate style" coating that yousee on ultra high gloss magazine covers.

Non UV- is when no coating is applied to the printed piece leaving that natural coat of our premium 12pt cardstock or 100lb text sheets.

We recommend that you choose the Non UV finish if you intend on writing, affixing stamps, labels, or do not wish to have an extra shiny coat on your final printed piece
